Seny Norasingh was born in Southeast Asia during the Vietnam War. Some of his relatives still live in Luang Prabang, Laos. He came to the United States as a foreign student but was unable to return home for many years after the fall of Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia. He was named North Carolina Press Photographer of the year twice in the ’80s and then went on to work for major magazines in the United States. Currently, he is traveling around the world in an attempt to capture the diminishing culture of people, large and small. He considers himself a citizen of the world and prefers to let his work speaks for itself.
